Refund policy

At Savannah Tech we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can return goods and obtain a refund. It applies in addition to your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

1. Cooling-off period (online sales)

In terms of section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel any online order without reason within 7 (seven) calendar days of receiving the goods, provided that:

  • The goods are unused, in their original sealed packaging, with all accessories and documentation included.
  • You bear the direct cost of returning the goods to us.

Once received and inspected, we will refund the purchase price within 7 business days to the original payment method.

2. Defective, damaged, or incorrect goods

If goods are defective, damaged on arrival, or differ materially from what was ordered, please notify us in writing at support@savannahtech.co.za within 7 days of delivery. We will, at your election:

  • Repair the item;
  • Replace the item with an identical item; or
  • Refund the full purchase price.

Goods are covered by a 6-month implied warranty under the CPA, and by any longer manufacturer warranty (e.g. Apple, Dell, Microsoft — typically 12 months).

3. Non-returnable items

The following cannot be returned for change-of-mind:

  • Items where the original seal has been broken (software licences, headphones for hygiene reasons).
  • Customised, made-to-order, or specially-imported items.
  • Gift cards.

This does not affect your rights regarding defective goods.

4. How to request a refund or return

  1. Email support@savannahtech.co.za with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason.
  2. We will respond within 1 business day with a return authorisation and the return address (typically the relevant distributor's RMA centre).
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship via a tracked courier.
  4. Once received and inspected (usually within 3–5 business days), we will process the refund.

5. Refund method and timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method (Paystack, EFT, or card). Allow up to 7 business days for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your bank.
